Me, in Brief

Every time I visit someone's site, one of the first things I check out is the bio page. So, I ought to have one too, right? Well, here we are. Uh... how are you? Oh wait, this is supposed to be about me! Heh. All right, anyway, here we go. My name is Meg, and I'm a big geeky dork. I consider this a good thing. I live in Los Angeles with my husband, Joe. We were married in March 2002, and have 2 cats named Patches and Homer. They were both born in 1999. I graduated from UCLA with a B.A. in Psychology in June 2006, and as of this writing, I am totally unemployed. I hope I get to change that part soon. I volunteer with zookeepers at the zoo, love working with animals (and have done so for years), and I also love teaching kids.

And I love writing online. I'm the type who's always convinced that no one reads this page, even though my stats pages say differently. Still, I enjoy it, so I'm going to keep doing it. Since there are about four years of entries online right now, and that would be too many to read, I pulled these ten entries that I feel are the most representative of myself and this journal:

Why "Seafoam"?

I have always loved the ocean. Every time I go to the beach, I stare at the beautiful patterns the white foam makes in the ocean waves. Always moving, always changing, and always, always beautiful. For me, it is a nice metaphor for life.

Some Details About Seafoam

I started writing online in 2001. The first version of Seafoam was at the now defunct diary-x. Then I went to JournalCon the following year, which inspired me to start a new version of Seafoam on my own domain, which has been up and running since September 28, 2002. The Seafoam title graphic is made by yours truly, and all HTML is hand-coded by me.

Obligatory Rambly Disclaimer

All writing contained in Seafoam is written by me, and is expressed in my own personal point of view and opinions. So, don't have a cow over anything I write here. Not that you would, because you're cool, right? Right. After all, I am usually only writing about my cats, or how much I hate traffic, or how much I like monkeys or traveling or something, anyway.
