Stitch'n'Bitch....?
(( Saturday, September 28, 2002 // 05: 01 PM ))
So today, my mom and I had an online Stitch'n'Bitch of sorts... Well, without the "stitch" part. Maybe one day I'll learn to sew, and be crafty, and make stuff. That actually is a hope of mine. At the present moment, I can't even sew a button without the utmost concentration, and intermittent shouts of pain from poking myself with a needle. It's sad, I know.
Anyway, mom and I were chatting via MSN messenger, which is quite a nifty little tool. We had one of our very long chats, which was great, and long overdue. It's nice to have Quality Time with Mom. I bitched about work, she bitched about school, we bitched about the world together. It was cool! We talked about good stuff too. She said when Joe and I have kids, she wants her nickname to be Grammy. My mom is cute.
I have also been working at organizing my schedule. For the past few days, my brain has just felt far too overloaded with all the things I'm trying to take on at once. So, I figured out a few things. For the wildlife museum, I'm going to work just Fridays, instead of Fridays and Wednesdays. And I'm going to volunteer on Thursdays at the museum, alternating departments every week. That way, I will be participating in all that I want to without overloading myself. It's funny -- I used to worry about finding a job at all, and now I'm having to cut back on jobs!
In other news, my kitty Homer has been super snuggly today! It's actually rather unusual. He is generally more playful than snuggly, or he enjoys snuggles in very short spurts. But tonight, he's wanted me to hold him a lot! I like it when he's like this. :-)
Joe and I bought lots of DVD's today. One of them was the movie "Trading Places," which I'd actually never seen before. We watched it tonight during dinner. I had vegan pizza made by Amy's Kitchen and 2 bottles of Cream Soda. Mmmmm.... Oh, and I thought the movie was really funny!
Okay, I've been up all night, and it's now 6am. Time for sleep! Or breakfast.
I love weekends.
