So last night, Joe's mom says, "You like Barney?"

I told her I thought it was stupid and that there were better kids' shows out there, like Sesame Street and Bear in the Big Blue House. I also said Blue's Clues was a good show for kids.

She says, "You know what I like, too? That show, with the guy. There's that one guy and some kind of animal."

"Blue's Clues?" I ask somewhat hesitantly, wondering if she's talking about the show I just mentioned.

"No, not Blue's Clues. There's just one guy..."

"Mr. Roger's Neighborhood?"

"No, no, not Mr. Rogers... There's that guy, that young guy, and some animal."

"All I can think of is Blue's Clues."

"That's not it," she said.

"Then I don't know."

"Oh well. It's a good show."

Cut to this morning...

"Meg, that show I was trying to remember last night. I remember. It's called Blue's Clues. You know it?"
