Dude. I just got hugged. By Victor. For the first time EVER. Eeee!!! So cool!

He was acting sleepy, so I was walking around with him, thinking he might fall asleep. He didn't, and my back was killing me from carrying him, so I sat down with him in the rocking chair. I was afraid he'd flip out and start crying, which he often does when I sit in that chair with him. Instead, he sat super quietly on my lap, a sure sign he was very sleepy. He leaned against me for a little bit as I rocked the chair, then he sat back up and looked at me. I gave him a big hug and kissed his shoulder. "I love you," I said to him. He had one hand on my shoulder, the other on my collarbone. Then he moved his hand from my collarbone around to the back of my neck and head. And he squeezed! Then I let go a little and hugged him again, and he did the same thing to me. And then!!! He patted the back of my head a few times, which is what I always do to him when I hug him! Of course, I am a way sentimental fool and tears instantly fell down my cheeks. How freaking cute. Victor hugged me!

He also made cute little happy sounds while he was doing so, and leaned his whole face into mine so that we were cheek to cheek. Then he rubbed his eyes, and I could tell he was really fading. I walked around with him for just a little bit and he was out like a light. He's sleeping now.

I'm so thrilled our day could end on a positive note! He had a lot of giggly, happy moments at the park, but he also threw two big tantrums while we were there and another huge one when we got home. I think he was just tired, which makes him cranky. So I guess it's good that he's getting some sleep now. Hopefully he won't stay up super late, but at least it's the weekend, right?
