Falling Asleep Typing

(( Wednesday, December 17, 2003 // 10: 31 PM ))

Today was filled with oodles of shopping! It doesn't make for the most interesting of journal writing, but at least it made for an interesting day!

It was a very sleepy day, too, though. I only slept a few hours, because I didn't even get to bed until 5am! I guess I was kind of wound up from work! I did, in fact, watch King of the Jungle, as planned, and I'm happy with the outcome of the show. I'm looking forward to watching the first episode of the winner's new animal show on Monday! Cool!

After not sleeping very long, I dragged my groggy self out of the house to get stuff done! I got my hair cut, first of all. It is a little too short, but that's kind of typical of my stylist. I don't really mind that she cuts it a little too short every time, because she's really expensive, and if she left it longer, I'd have to visit her more often! So it's really super short, and I'm trying to like it. I'm sure that in a week, it'll look perfect to me (just in time for London!).

I also went to the grocery store to buy lots of mini travel items, such as a travel toothbrush and toothpaste, empty bottles to put shampoo and the like inside, mini shaving cream, mini body lotion, mini deodorant, fa la la. I got a lot of shopping out of the way with those purchases!

I also went to Borders and got a teeny tiny notebook to jot down stuff I might need (always nice to have something like that around), and a paperback-size blank book that will be a travel journal/scrapbook whatever. I plan on having interesting folks I meet write stuff in it, whether they're in my travel group or not. The book itself is themed with Olivia the pig, who is super cute! I've never seen her on anything before today, but apparently, she's a very popular character from a children's book. Note to self: must research more.

Then Joe and I went out and bought some anime. Chobits, to be exact. It is a cool series!

And now, I'm falling asleep sitting here. I just wanted to post before bedtime. A simple day, a day ending with a short AIM conversation with a dearly missed friend of mine, a not very exciting writing day, but a nice day nonetheless.
