I'm sitting in Joe's workplace right now, typing away on his co-worker's computer (Co-worker offered use to me before he left; I didn't just snag it!). Joe is working next to me, finishing some stuff up before the big drive to L.A. That's right, we're heading south for the winter! Er, Spring! Well, for the next few days, anyway. There are several reasons for this little vacation of ours...

First of all, Friday is the EATM Informational Meeting. Friday!! When I first got the letter and chose the two meeting date I wanted to attend, I was like, "But six weeks is so far awaaayyy..." And now? It's HERE! How did that happen? I am so thrilled!

The second reason we're going is to have ourselves a little vacation in honor of our anniversary! Tomorrow, March 17, is Joe's and my two year wedding anniversary! That's another thing I can't believe, man. On the one hand, I feel like we've been married forever. On the other, it seems like our wedding was just yesterday! Two years already. Wow.

So, it'll be great to get away for a few days. I will miss my kitties like crazy, but Bobbi will be keeping an eye on them for me. They're in good hands!

Joe and I are clever planners. What we did was that Joe took the suitcase in his car this morning when he drove to work. Then I took BART into the city and walked to his office place (a mile!), and in a little while, we'll be taking off. I already called the hotel to let them know we'll be getting in pretty darn late.

Want to hear my awesome news? Well, with all the walking I did today running errands and walking to Joe's workplace, I racked up some mileage! Now, I'm just past the 60 mile mark. I can't even tell you how excited that makes me. I brough my pedometer so I can keep track of the distances I walk on this trip, too. Walking is good!

Well, I better wrap this up. Looks like we're heading out! I'll try to update via Joe's laptop during this trip, if possible. I can't wait! Disneyland, Moorpark, animals, friends, L.A. weather... We're going to have a blast! Bye for now!
