D is for Dentistry

You know how sometimes your teeth feel fine for a long time, so you think, hey I brush my teeth! I floss on occasion. I don't need to see a dentist! And then, you're moving and you know you won't have any insurance pretty soon (at least for a little while), and all of a sudden your gums start hurting and your teeth ache and your mouth feels like it's falling apart?
No? Just me, then?
Oy! I don't know what happened. My gums ached like crazy earlier, so I flossed and some weird tiny black thing thing came out. I know, it's gross. Forgive me. My fear is that is was trapped in there for a while. I guess it's not okay to decide to floss "tomorrow" every day for months on end, after all. Who knew?
So now, it looks like only a few weeks before a major move, I'm going to have to choose a dentist and get myself checked out before the insurance runs out. Hopefully, all will be well. In the mean time, I'm going to floss like a motherfucker in the hopes of preventing any more damage and promoting healthy habits.
Wish me luck!
