Road Trip, Part The Next

(( Sunday, March 27, 2005 // 05: 26 PM ))

Last time I wrote, little Prissy-Pants was asleep in my lap. She did go to sleep with me that night, and was my little heat generator all night long. Oh my god, so soft and cute and warm!

Once during the night, I awoke to sounds of plastic. I slowly became cognizant of the fact that that was my plastic bag I had used to transport my shoes! I hopped out of bed, and Erik was sitting at the foot of the bed, staring at the comforter that goes all the way to the floor. I lifted up the blanket to reveal a mischievous Prissy, chewing on a plastic bag. I took it from her, and luckily, none of it had been eaten. One handle was broken, though! Later, Erik woke me up by whining in my face; that was pretty funny to wake up to! And when I finally got up for good, it was because Prissy woke me up with sounds of ripping up part of the throw carpet. Oh, the life of puppies! Such destruction and mayhem! Not always, though. Kirsten said as she was walking by my room in the morning, she saw Prissy and I lying together, both of us on our backs, Prissy by my shoulder, with our heads touching. Awwww! Puppies are so cute and fun!

We fed the horses after we ate breakfast, and played fetch with the puppies a bit. Then we browsed puppy pictures (they were once so teeny tiny!), took some more pictures, made me a lunch to go, and said our goodbyes. Then, I was on my way, cruising up the 101.

It was a pretty nice drive. I spent much of it on the phone actually! I called Joe to say hi, Misti to update her on my ETA, and Draven and Bobbi just to finalize meet-up plans. It was cool talking to everyone.

It was pretty weird arriving in the Bay Area, passing places I used to hang out and streets I used to drive down all the time. Arriving at Misti and Steve's place was great, though. It was very nice to get out of the car after three and a half hours of driving! We just relaxed and talked for a while. I love being in their home, because it just has a really relaxing energy to it. There are tons of colors everywhere, too. I think it's awesome! Not everyone has a green bean bag chair with a bright orange fish print cloth draped over it. Super cool! I get to stay in the guest room, with a super cute pink comforter and little elephant stuffed animal to cuddle at night.

Misti made an amazing vegetarian shepherd's pie dinner and we watched the movie, What the bleep do we Know?. It was really awesome and interesting. It makes you think about a lot of things and just ponder the world around us, how it all works, what we know or don't know, how we influence our own realities. I like stuff like that.

I pretty much conked out after that!

Today, while Misti was at work, I headed out to see Draven. It was fun reminiscing about London and laughing at old memories. Talking about just general life stuff was really cool too.

When I got back, I just hung out and chatted with Steve for a while, as we snacked on pita chips and swiss cheese. Those pita chips are good, dude. I've never had them before.

Anyway, I guess that brings us up to the present moment! I'm sure there will be more tales of awesomeness in the near future. Bye for now!

Glad you had a nice drive and a good time. By the by, you left your 'Disneyland' shirt here. I think that was my fault, though. :/

Kirsten, that's ok about the shirt - I just forgot I'd washed it!

Misti, thanks! It was so great to see you! The elephant is great, he doesn't snore or anything! ;)
