Well that was fast! I took my first final, got my grade on Saturday, got my hopes up for passing the class, for potentially squeaking by. Then today, said hopes were promptly smashed to smithereens. Yep, I got a D+. I needed a C or better to pass the class. (If I'd gotten a C-, I think I might have screamed.) The reason is that it's an impacted class, and it's for my major, and all of those types of classes need a C or better in order to count. So this one doesn't!

The good news is, if I repeat it, I can replace the grade completely. The bad news is, it's not offered again until next Fall. Looks like I'm spending one more quarter at UCLA! I don't really mind that much. I think I still get to walk across the stage at graduation this summer, and then finish up the one class to officially complete my degree.

I think it'll be cool. I mean, staying at UCLA definitely has its perks. For instance, today as I was riding the shuttle, we passed the local movie theatre where Cheaper by the Dozen 2 was premiering. We drove by right as a horse drawn carriage pulled up, carrying Santa, Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt. Everyone on the bus was waving at them (as well as everyone at the theatre), and they looked around and waved back at everyone. It was so cool!

And now, off to study mood disorders! More final exams in less than 48 hours!
